Gary Roberts has been announced today, as a candidate for league 1, player of the month award.
Roberts who scored 3 goals in December as well as putting in his committed displays, is the first Town player to feature this season in the awards.
He is up against Matty Fryatt of Leicester, Aaron McLean of Peterborough and Tranmere’s Anthony Kay, once a town target under former boss Andy Ritchie.
The winner will be announced on Sky Sports Big League weekend 2, which is aired on 12th January at 6pm!

yes certainly he has been one of the best players in league 11 week in week out and i think he is that good we will find it hard to keep hold of him in january with several championship clubs coming in 4 him
