Rhodes Remains a Terrier?

JORDAN RHODES is the hottest property outside of the Premier League, we have all heard it all month – but come 11pm on 31st January 2012 will he still be a Huddersfield Town player!

We recently ran a poll and 77% of you believe that Rhodes will be here to hopefully fire Huddersfield to promotion out of league one at the third attempt under Lee Clark’s management.

Only West Ham have tabled a serious offer during this January transfer window, perhaps they were the only club daft enough not to listen to Lee Clark who has continually stated the player is ‘not for sale at any price’

He was even quoted as saying 4 million would only buy his socks, so to see West Ham’s initial bid of 3 million was a bit of a laugh I’m sure in the Town managers office.

Chairman Dean Hoyle added weight to the statement as he declared that Rhodes will not be sold, being a lifelong Huddersfield fan, Hoyle didn’t want to relive the scenario where Huddersfield sold then top-scorer Marcus Stewart to promotion rivals Ipswich who eventually beat The Terriers to promotion to the Premiership at the time.

I have to say I have always believed in Lee and Dean on this and Jordan Rhodes will remain a Terrier for the rest of this season at the very least.

A promotion may earn another season from the newly capped Scottish striker but another failure would see him leave Town for sure.
