Former Huddersfield Town boss Peter Jackson was surprised to be sacked on Tuesday.

Jackson was disappointed with the club’s decision, following three-and-a-half years in charge, and is looking forward to a new challenge.

‘We’ll I’m disappointed with what’s happened,’ he told Sky Sports News.

’50 per cent of managers this season have lost their jobs. It’s always hard to take.

‘I was shocked with the decision that was made, but I have to accept it and move on.

‘We went down to Forest last Saturday and it was a big game, but we lost 5-1.

‘Now is a time to reflect and see how I can move forward. It’s a new chapter in my life now.

‘I want to try and get back into management and I’m looking forward to a new challenge.’

As we reported yesterday don’t be suprised to see Peter Jackson appointed as manager of Bradford City sometime in the next week or two after Towns game on Saturday with ……..Bradford City.
