LEE CLARK – We need to start winning games

Lee Clark stated before this weekends game that we must turn draws into wins, now he is at it again stating ‘We need to start winning games’

Whilst Town were 2-0 up and cruising against Leyton Orient with 15 minutes to go, they managed to throw the game away. Firstly conceding a sloppy goal, then as Orient went down to 10 men and the Town fans were breathing a sigh of relief, our defensive frailties struck again.

This time it was Jamie McCombe giving away a needless freekick leading to Orient’s last gasp equaliser. The fact Orient scored 2 with only 2 shots on target all game is credit to them but it does not ease the pressure on Town who are pushing for an automatic promotion spot. One that seems to be creeping away from them.

The Terriers must learn to shut the back door, despite all of the money ploughed into the team it still seems the defence is the weakest point.

Injuries haven’t helped the left-back berth and Jack Hunt has been impressive since he came back from his loan spell at Chesterfield.

But are Jamie McCombe and Antony Kay really good enough to partner Peter Clarke?
