HUDDERSFIELD have signed Spanish striker Cristian Lopez and he becomes the 8th summer recruit by Mark Robins.

The striker has been on trial with the club and clearly impressed enough during a cameo appearance against Real Betis and a solid 80 minutes at Oldham where he scored.

Lopez is the first Spaniard to sign for Huddersfield Town and he initially joins on a one year deal with the club having the option of a further year.

Lopez is striker number 5 to join the club following Stead, Carr, Vaughan & Paterson to the club.

Lopez made his professional debut in 2008 for Alicante, he signed then for Real Madrid Castilla in the summer of 2009. He finished his first season as the Club`s second top scorer with ten goals.

in 2011 he joined Valencia B and scored 11 goals before joining Atletico Baleares last season scoring 9 goals in 35 games.

Lopez will wear shirt number 19.
