Anthony Gerrard returns to Town training

CENTRE BACK ANTHONY GERRARD has given manager Mark Robins a boost after he returned to training this week.

The 27-year-old has missed almost the entire pre-season build up after suffering a calf injury, Gerrard infact didnt make it to the Spanish training camp, but has instead been keeping his fitness by working hard in the gym.

It is thought he could make a first appearance of the season when Town send an eleven to face AFC Emley tomorrow night.

Whilst the game at Nottingham Forest may come too soon, it is good to have Gerrard back available as Robins only has 3 senior center backs on the books at present in Joel Lynch, Anthony Gerrard and Captain Peter Clarke.
