Huddersfield Town’s managerial vacancy has attracted more than 30 applications so far.

John Dungworth, assistant to jacko has confirmed his interest, and it’s believed Gary Megson formerly of Forest and WBA, ex-Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell, who worked as number two to Neil Warnock over a long period of time, and Andy Ritchie, who guided Barnsley to victory over Town in last season’s League I play-offs, and ultimately to promotion have all submitted their CVs.

Also as reported yesterday Phil Parkinson, who is Number two currently to Alan Pardew at Charlton but out of contract at the end of the season, is keen on another crack at management after a failed five-month stint at Hull.

Town vice-chairman Andrew Watson said: ‘I’m not going to talk about individuals, but I will say we have had more than 30 applicants, many of whom have impressive qualities.’
