Huddersfield look at Jobcentre plus

Chairman elect Dean Hoyle, gave the watching fans and media, a rather large clue as to yet another of the factors affecting his views on the vacant managerial position.

‘We now have our shortlist and the first round of interviewing takes place this week. The second stage will happen the week after and then we’ll take it from there. I would like to go on record as saying that if after the second interviews we don’t feel we have the right man for the job, we’ll wait for the right man. I’d like to think we’ll have someone in place before the summer but we only have one chance at this and we have to get it right.

‘If you go after a currently employed manager then you get compensation issues and to be perfectly honest I’d prefer to spend that money on the squad. I think there are enough quality managers out of work at the moment.’

After the fan unfriendly and quite frankly at times bizarre ‘Veil of secrecy’ that Andy Ritchie admitted to operating under with Ken Davy, this is a welcome change.

I think we at Vital already quite like Mr Hoyle.
