Result from the potteries

Town team

Glennon, Holdsworth, Page, N Clarke, Mirfin, Williams, Collins, Worthington, Berrett, Brandon, Booth
Smithies, Skarz, Beckett, T Clarke, Kamara

Just as last week but Tom Clarke makes a welcome return to the first team scene, on the bench in place of injured rank Sinclair

Anyon, Pearce, Eckersley, Mulligan, Pilkington, Richman, Cardle, Howland, Harsley, Richards, Whitaker
Martin, Prosser, Talbot, Lawrie, Glover

Slow start to the game, Page going close with a header.

Not a very inspiring first twenty minutes of this game.
Surely both Port Vale and Huddersfield have more to offer than they are showing here.

Booth goes close with a header, which is cleared off the line with thirty minutes gone

Port Vale are coming more and more into the game as the first half goes into its final fifteen minutes.

The second half can only get better.

Game watched by – 4,150

The second half continues inmuch the same vein.
Berrett goes close for the teriers as the hour mark approaches.

Huddersfield have a goal disallowed for offside.

Glover replaces Richman for the Valiants.

Booth misses a good chance, that is not like him.

Kamara replaces Worthington, so he is back playing against a former club

Prosser comes on for Pearce as Port Vale make another substitution.

Holdsworth has missed a sitter as the game closes, Brandon slipped a ball to the unusually wayward Holdsworth.

Vale’s Whitaker now misees a chance, neither side wants to score here.

Murphys record of drawing games continues.
