Tranmere took an early lead through ex-Barnsley player Anthony Kay, poor marking from a corner lead to the opening goal of the game.

Town kept pressing to try and get back into the game, and they equalised through Legend Andy Booth who scored his 145th Career goal for Huddersfield Town with a trademark header!

Keep it up lads!

    literally str8 after 3-1 down

    **** **** ****
double substitution looking to come on, Goodwin and Flynn it looks.
can’t believe the defending, it sounded awful! no1 picking anyone up.

  • Huddersfield550 says:

maybe not double sub then. we need to get someone on though!
can’t be playing with 1 up front not enough support. with 3-1 down. I say GO FOR IT, what have we got to lose?

  • Huddersfield550 says:

my bad, Ainsworth on, not flynn, although he was getting ready to come on at one point.
might still see him at some point.
I know Ainsworth has pace, but as we saw other week, he’s not the greatest finisher..
anyone think we can actually get anything from this now? or are we already resigned to defeat?

it’s just not a good day, we’ve basically lost. Leeds score 87mins with the main tw*t Beckford. disappointing.

    rubbish… Again

lee clark has won 5 games out of 17. turnip won 4 out of 15 (not including cup). so right about now everyone should be on clark’s back. but they wont be. strange how things change. i’d be considering going 5 at the back again, just to try and stop leaking these damn goals. time to change things around, new formations, new players. see who is worth retaining in the summer.

    oops!

I for one believe I didn’t get on Ternent’s back when things started going wrong, I had full support. maybe it was because of hidden reasons with the boardroom, who knows….only I do 😉
but never the less, end of the season, I am disappointed, play-offs in all fairness had pretty much gone already, looking forward to new season already and waiting to see who Clark brings in, who’s betting we get linked with tons more Newcastle stars? that are prety unrealistic…Owen will be on his way….hah

What an amazing win for us, deserved it you were poor in 2nd half. You deserved to be ahead at half time though you played well till the second half then we out classed you.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

  • Huddersfield550 says:

in defence of the people that did criticise Ternent btw, I feel it was a different situation, yes it’s a similar play card in terms of wins in games etc.
but Ternent pretty much blamed first of all himself….then the players…then came out and did the worst thing you can do at a club…blame the fans, and that obviously didn’t go down well at all.
he continued to say, oops…I got it wrong, ok leave me be.
Clark is more forward thinking and says, we weren’t good enough, we WILL get it right, and he has that convincing factor, plus, who can resist that Geordie accent….haha

the difference was ternant brought in hundreds of new plays and tried to paly them all. thats what got everyone on his back.

lets face it these players are not in the standards of what we expect from our terriers, we need tru terrriers i.e darren bullock, tom cowan, iwan roberts. i think we should have a clear out from top to toe bye,bye kamara, unsworth, jevons, parker, craney, lucketti, holdsworth, worthington, and very sad to say but boothy aswell,we wana go places we gotta trust lee clark and let him get on with it, what could be worse???if were not in the prem or championship, were a knobody,we need to be looking at teams like doncaster, bristol city o’driscoll has donny playing sum top stuff were well bigger than them i remember Bell vue days come on!!!!! bristol city good footballing team good players and thats what we want and need.UP THE TERRIERS!!

  • Impact says:

some of those players, yes – kamara unsworth holdsworth worthington. Boothy is retiring anyway isnt he? As for craney, jevons, aprker, lucketti, they all ahve at least 1 more year on their contract, and who’s gonna buy lucketti? i’ve seen craney once in recent times and with goodwin sitting behind him or with jim and collins in a 3, he will play better than he did. although i hate parker, and to a lesser extent jevons, we cant oofload more striker when we would ahve… NONE! otherwise. seriously we would have novak and that would be it for strikers. Also think cads may go – from what clark said he wants players who are fit, and as we know, cads doesnt have the best injury record.

  • terrier09 says:

i would rather scrap the front line and have 4/5 good finishers all a bit different. NOVAK,LAMBERT,AKINFENWA,GRAHAM, and yes impact LA FONDRE lol.I bet we could get all these.

  • terrier09 says:

midfielders from carlisle, marc bridge wilkinson, michael bridges any of them 2 id have, cant think of any defenders but we need a powerhouse centre half who dont tek s@@t

  • Impact says:

and how much money do you think that would cost? 2mil, more, just for the strikers? we have no idea if novak will be any good, so we could end up, if we go with you, with no strikers and have to play roberts and pilks up front together if we cant bring anyone in. no more midfielders needed really are there? could do with a right back and a couple of centre halves WITH PACE!

  • Impact says:

oh and you missed out glennon to go in summer. he wont hang around to play 2nd string football.
