  • 80s terrier says:

Are those knives i can hear being sharpened..??? Our Mr Clark thinks he’s going on a journey and that his players should want to follow him..I personaly think they would much rather keep their jobs to be honest …If he carries on like this he’s going out of the door…lol..lol..LOL..ROFL..WML..Of course like all the other lemmings,he will still have my backing come what may…

  • 80s terrier says:

Oh and thanks again for the stats 24 ..Top man..!

  • Impact says:

i didnt think boothy had scored at tranmere before

  • Tiny T says:

Bet this result hurt, Div 1 again next year.

  • Impact says:

who the balls is that? ^^^ And no, not really. When you concede 3 last minute goals int he last 4 matches you kinda guess this wont be your season.

  • 80s terrier says:

Were ok tiny terrier, were going in the right direction…See you next season..!

  • HuddersfieldYiddo says:

So were back to the last 5years of pumping the ball up to boothy up on his own. Super. If it hasnt worked the last 5 years it aint gonna start working now. This is Anti-Football. Playing Tom Clarke – centreback in midfield too, whats all that about? I rate Clark but whats going on there?

  • Huddersfield550 says:

I don’t think we’ll be seeing Clark going anywhere anytime soon (well…we shouldn’t anyway) brought him in so we can build a team, and stick with a manager for once, longer than the usual 6month stint we give them.
I know thats why Watson left, (along with the fact he and Ternent spent every waking minute of every night on the phone together talking about the team)
looking to keep long term things in check. he’ll be here for a while I’d guess…

  • Thaibluefan says:

Stats never tell the true story of a game but i suppose ‘corners’ sums this one up.

  • Impact says:

what are you on about? tom clarke has played the last…2/3 years in midfield? he did at bradford as well. he aint a centre back, and i dont believe he was when he broke into 1st team (even though it stated he was). Best player ont he pitch for us in the last 2 games, although andy h could be out so we may see him at right back. even goodwin’s finding it har dot get back into the team. watson left because he felt sacking ternant was wrong, as he was one of those who helped choose him. The problem with boothy is clark doesnt trust ANYONE else – lukas sat on the bench at 3-1 down all match.

  • Huddersfield550 says:

he left because he didn’t believe it was right (true) and also because it was ALL on him for picking him, it was his decision. and at the beginning said if this sinks, I’m out with him at the same time…and look what happened…it did. shame really.

  • White Rabbit says:

Impact you’re totally wrong about Tom Clarke playing in midfield for 2/3 years! Last season he played 14 games for Town, all bar one in central defence; this season he has played eight reserve games, mainly at right-back and only one in midfield. When I saw him playing on loan for Halifax last season he was playing centre-half. Despite his decent recent displays in midfield I have no hesitation in saying that he’s first and foremost a central defender.

  • HuddersfieldYiddo says:

Whatever happens, town must stick with Clarke for a whole season and if we do quite well then another. He must be given the opportunity to create a winning side. At the moment hes using Ternants jokers and a few dodgy loans. Theres some top youth at Town with Smithies, Clark, Berrett and theres a core of very decent players with Holdsworth, Collins, Goodwin, and of course Gary Roberts. Lets see if Clarke can find some gems in the summer, its obvious where we need to strengthen. We need a striker, i think when everybodys fit with Roberts and Cads on the wings were strong across the middle. Defence is aging we could do with another centreback, but its upfront where the problem lies. We need a young hotshot whos gonna score 20+ if were ever gonna get out of this division.

  • Impact says:

IF cads gets a new contract. may hinge on his fitness me thinks.

as for tom clarke, from what i can remember jacko played him in midfield towards the end of his spell. and he looked good there. he has played midfield for bradford (i think) this year and has been motm for us in the past 2 games in midfield. i wouldnt trust him at centre-back. thats right, i would prefer lucketti…xd.

  • Thaibluefan says:

Four goal attempts all game – not good reading and reflects in the scoreline.

  • Impact says:

maybe because we have a striker shortage and have had all seaon, and the one stirker we do have can only use his head? and two more for tranmere aint great either is it? 6 shots all game for a play-off contender? thats not very good is it, and it shows from the fact they’re not going up.

  • Doody says:

The stats tell the story …..

  • Thaibluefan says:

You never know if stats tell the true story of the game but if theese are to be believed then the scoreline is right. No corners?
