NICK Colgan has agreed the one year extension offered to him at the close of the season and will remain at Huddersfield Town for the 2011/12 season.

The vastly experienced 37 year-old keeper initially joined the Terriers on an emergency loan deal back in October 2010 from Grimsby Town.

He found himself released by the Mariners in January and quickly secured himself a short term deal at Huddersfield.

He will now prolong that stay for one more season.

Lee Clark told htafc.com:-

‘Nick showed he is more than capable of stepping into the breach,’ manager Lee Clark told the club website.

‘He is also a good influence to have around the squad.’

Good to see we have keeper cover sorted for the next season with Bennett, Smithies and Colgan all contracted.
