Peter Clarke, the former Huddersfield Town Club Captain, is hoping for a new deal with recently relegated Doncaster Rovers.

Clarke, who is available on a free transfer, following his release by Huddersfield Town went with Doncaster on their pre-season tour where they ironically faced Huddersfield Town. (The Terriers came out of that match winners by three goals to one thanks to a James Vaughan Hat-trick!)

Clarke who made 224 appearances in five years with The Terriers would certainly add good experience to a Doncaster side who have lost both Gabriel Tamas and Addoulaye Meite this summer following their relegation from The Championship.

Doncaster manager Paul Dickov’s hand seem to be tied on finalising any signings as the club awaits the takeover by John Ryan-Louis Tomlinson to be completed.
