Calum Woods is hoping for an extended stay with Huddersfield Town.
The 27-year-old full back who can operate at both the left & right positions has not featured as heavily as he would have liked this season, mainly down to the form of Paul Dixon and the formation utilising Adam Hammill as a right wing back in the earlier part of the season.
The club have the option a further year on Woods contract after the Liverpudlian signed from Dunfermline in 2011.
Woods also netted one of the memorable penalties in the League 1 play-off final victory over Sheffield United.
Woods spoke to The Examiner
‘The ball is in their court’
“I`d like to stay, and all I can do is work hard to do my best every time I get a chance.
“I haven`t played as much as I`d have liked this season, but I believe I am good enough to play week in, week out, and I am happy to fight for my place.”
Woods has made 80 appearances for Huddersfield with his one goal coming this season in the defeat to Bournemouth at Dean Court. (It was a beauty!)
Woods has 200 career appearances to his name having featured in the Easter Monday victory at Yeovil.
