Huddersfield entertain Oldham in the War of the Roses, in both sides first game of 2009!

Both sides are in a good run of form, with Town looking for another win to catapult them up the table yet further, whilst Oldham will be looking to improve upon their current points haul following an impressive start to the season.

Ironically Town’s best performance under Ternent was against Oldham at Boundary park, when they were riding high at the top of the league.

Oldham come to Huddersfield on an eight game unbeaten run, having only conceded 1, via a penalty, in the last 3 games, despite missing their number 1 choice Crossley.

Vital Quotes:

Lee Clark, spoke to BBC Radio Leeds ahead of the game versus Oldham and said:-

‘John Sheridan has got a good team there with a mixture of young and old players.

‘It will be a tough game, but we want to make the Galpharm a place other teams don’t like coming too.

‘We have done our preparations and research on them and we’ll be ready for them.’

Sensible talking and Ambition, If he Instills his own belief into the players there is only one direction that we are heading under Clark’s leadership!

Opposition manager John Sheridan spoke to the manchester evening news ahead of the visit to The ‘Pharm

‘It is going to be hard, very hard.’We are showing a bit of form ourselves and in our last three games have only conceded a penalty, we have to stay positive and believe in ourselves.’

‘We just have to stay confident and if we have seven or eight players on top of their game there is no reason why we can’t come away with all three points.

‘It will be tough and there will be a few tackles going in but we will have the backing of a big crowd and, hopefully, we can give them plenty to shout about.’
