Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner has confirmed that a solution has been found with Norwich City for Alex Pritchard.

With speculation suggesting that both clubs had now agreed a fee, Wagner confirmed this to Sky Sports when he met with the media earlier today and he was confident the deal would now go through within the next 24 hours.

All that remains is for terms to be agreed with the player himself and then for a medical to take place.

‘I can confirm that the two clubs found a solution. Now it is all about the personal terms. I am very confident we will find a solution for this in the next 24 hours.’

Wagner wouldn’t however discuss the move any further until it was finalised, simply turning conversations to how pleased he was with our progress so far this window, having previously signed Terrence Kongolo on loan from Monaco.

He also wouldn’t rule out further business this month.

‘The window is still open. We still have an eye on the market. Nobody knows what will happen in the next games. I am happy with what we have done so far with Terrance Kongolo. Hopefully we can add Alex to our squad as well and then I am very happy with what we have done. Was Pritchard the last one? Maybe, maybe not.’

With speculation linking us to Liverpool’s Marko Grujic, Wagner was also asked about that and he flatly ruled out a move for the player.

‘I don’t like to speak about individual names but one thing everybody I think knows is if there is an interesting player from Liverpool, we will sign him on loan or an a permanent if we have the opportunity. This is why a Liverpool player usually shouldn’t be a secret for us.’

Pressed on whether Grujic was a maybe for later in the window.

‘No, not even a maybe!’
