Ternent to Kick start Terriers

Stan Ternent, He is our manager, He is an old head, He may not be what we wanted, but Ternent is what we have got.

In recent times we have had Peter Jackson, who was backed up at the club by an old head Terry Yorath, and after his much publicised departure from the club, Huddersfield were on the slide under Jacko.
Terrible performances and goal shipping town, Ken Davy booted Jackson out after the 5-1 away defeat at Notts Forest.

Thus we moved onto Andy Ritchie, anyone who met him will tell you, he is a cracking bloke. You couldn’t wish to meet a nicer guy, but as we all know nice guys don’t win football matches. I still feel for him in that he didn’t bring in his own backroom staff, his decision or Davy’s? We will never really know.

We all know what happened next. Come April we are searching for a manager again.

Genius Gerry stepped in (another old head) and did exceptionally well (again) I would have loved to see him take the job, but he said he didn’t want to be the manager full time, so the search went on.

The fans wanted Shearer, some calling for Allen and Dowie amongst others. The club clearly had their own opinions of Ritchie’s successor and chose Stan Ternent. In some supporters eyes maybe a safe option, maybe a gamble? Only time will tell.

All this writer can see is that we have someone in charge who will do us proud.
The club proud in its centenary year, Magnificent support for the coming season and signings a plenty over the coming weeks.

Stan has been there, seen it, got the T shirt and had time to write a book.

Get behind our team and this man, as unlike Leeds we are Marching on to the Championship

Come on Stan give us a wave!
