Huddersfield’s Malvin Kamara discusses his unique pre-match ritual and his hopes for a starting place in the Leeds game.

“I was dying to play against Port Vale. I was on the bench but I really wanted to get involved, especially with them being my old club. But I have to tell you – it was so good just to be involved again on a Saturday afternoon. I’m getting closer to getting a place back in the team.

“We were gutted because they won it in the last ten minutes. We should have held on but they did well and perhaps we had a lack of concentration. They were superb finishes for their goals though, I don’t want to take anything away from them. Looking at the positives, our performance was a lot better than in previous weeks and we have got to take heart from that.

“I think we get to the 75 – 80th minute and switch off a bit. We need to eradicate that for the Leeds game. It’s going to be a huge derby at Elland Road. There will be a lot of people there, maybe 33-34,000.”
