Huddersfield Town striker & Fan, Jon Stead, is rumoured to be on his way out of the club in January.

The striker returned to his home town club in the summer, after departing relegated Bristol City.

However Stead has yet to impress the management team and the fans with his displays and has reportedly sulked at being left out in recent matches.

Stead cut an abject figure sitting in a box for the Reading match, reportedly heard telling someone on the phone to ‘just sort it out’

Subsequently his next action was to appear on the bench for the home draw against Derby. Following Town’s third and final substitution of the game, which saw Sean Scannell replace Adam Hammill on 80 minutes; Stead threw down his bib and stormed down the tunnell, much to the disgust of Mark Robins.

The incident received little press or attention but was discussed in the post-match discussion.

Rumours of a loan move to Sheffield United have now emerged and perhaps this will be Stead’s last action in what has far from been a fairytale return to his boyhood team.

It was a pointless signing for signings sake, he was never going to be the same player we sold, also given we were in the bottom division and now competing at a higher level, that he struggled to achieve whilst at Bristol….. Hope he goes Tbh and free’s up a space in the squad for someone who wants to be here
