Scotland beats Booth

Huddersfield striker Andy Booth has been beaten to the FL1 Player of the Month Award by Swansea striker Jason Scotland.

Also short-listed for the December League One award were Lockwood of Doncaster Rovers and Walsall’s Mooney.

Andy Ritchie was one of a number of managers who attempted to sign Scotland while he was still at St Johnstone last season, and over the summer period.

Roberto Martinez eventually managed to sign him for Swansea last summer and is one of the main reasons why The Swans are currently flying high in League One.
