Mark Robins has called for his players to spoil Leicester City’s promotion party when they roll into Town this afternoon; 3pm kick off.

The Foxes, who secured the Championship title in midweek, whilst Town secured their Championship safety on Easter Monday with victory over now relegated Yeovil.

Leicester need just 4 points from their remaining two games to hit the 100 points total for the season; and they are targeting a 30th league victory of the season this weekend. The Foxes have also scored goals for fun this season with not many teams managing to keep them to a nil scoreline all season, in fact 31 games this campaign have seen the foxes find the net in all competitions.

So a tough ask in prospect but Robins, speaking to the Official Site set out the mind set of the Town camp ahead of kick off:-

“Overall we have had a reasonably successful season and we have a platform that we can build on for next season.

“The anxiety surrounding our position left us following the win at Yeovil and we now want to go and enjoy what is still an important game against Leicester,” Mark added. “We want to put down a marker that will leave the supporters wanting more ahead of next season.”

“They deserve all the plaudits because they have been outstanding this season,”

“Right from day one they have been strong and they have some top players who haven`t let their form dip. In David Nugent upfront they have had a steady stream of goals, but they also have the likes of Jamie Vardy and Andy King.

“They have players all over the pitch that can hurt you at any given time. They kept a core of players together for a few years and they have grown as one. We want to spoil the party though, and put on a performance for the last time this season in front of our own supporters.

not spoiled… an atmosphere flat as a fart from both sets of fans and then a farcical pitch invasion by both sets of supporters.
