ROBBIE SIMPSON has completed a loan move to Oldham Athletic.

The striker who is one of nPower League One’s leading assist makers this season saw his 3 month loan deal expire at Boundary Park in early December which meant he has been unable to play in recent weeks.

The striker re-joined Huddersfield officially but The Terriers allowed Simpson to continue training at Oldham as it was widely expected that Simpson would sign a permanent deal in January.

Those negotiations have been going on for some time and with no agreement yet in place Huddersfield have agreed to loan Simpson back to Oldham again whilst the two clubs agree terms for the Striker’s permanent move.

Simpson has made 18 appearances this season for Oldham scoring four times – including a hat-trick for Paul Dickov’s side.

Oldham are hopeful that the paperwork will be completed in time for Simpson to feature in their game at Chesterfield today.

So Goodbye to Robbie, who never really broke into the Huddersfield Town team and must sadly go down as a waste of Dean Hoyle’s money.

Robbie is a nice lad though and I am sure will do well at Oldham.
