Rhodes of the Rovers ?

Its’s followed us around all summer long like a big White Elephant in the room, the Jordan Rhodes saga looks to be reaching a conclusion.

Blackburn Rovers have reached an agreement with Jordan Rhodes on personal terms and I am just hearing this evening that despite the media reporting a fee is yet to be agreed, that has now been done.

We can perhaps expect a ‘Pilkington’ esque statement from the club tomorrow morning regarding the situation.

Its a kick in the teeth as it looked like Town had held on to thier star man.

However if Rhodes goes for the reported 8million pounds, just think who we can bring in for that.

Dean Hoyle won’t have taken this decision lightly and when we see who is lined up to come in before the end of the Transfer window – we may all be slightly appeased.

Rhodes is set to undergo a medical at Blackburn tomorrow morning.

Stay tuned as this develops

Would you trust Grayson with £8m, I wouldn’t

I think this is a disgusting decision personally – how could they let Jordan go so close to the end of the window with the knowledge replacements may not be able to be acquired and Hoyle saying they wouldn’t sell to a rival. My dad is a lifelong Huddersfield Town fan and I feel for him and every fan associated with the club. If the club don’t get in replacements, I fear for the club and they may end up back in league 1 next season and I so don’t want that to happen. This is a kick in the teeth indeed and moving to Blackburn? Well, at least you get to see what sort of player JR is now. Yes, he did a good job, goals wise, but this is just disgusting. If the club act to get in replacements, then perhaps my faith in Hoyle and Grayson will be appeased but if not, then I guess that doesn’t say a lot for the club as a whole, management wise, does it? Sorry but I am beyond angry at this. I hope you have a good season, whatever happens. What a b****x Wednesday evening!

robin i understand your anger…but i am in fear steve kean will fck this player up ..i must say i have heard 3 mil upfront and the rest over 4 years….me id want the whole lot up front..but what you think have we just purchased a prem place???

I think it says £4.5 million upfront on BBC Sport. The rest depends on appearances and promotion. Was really disappointed for you when I saw this. I just cant understand why Rhodes would want to to Blackburn ? To work under the biggest laughing stock of a manager around. Best of luck for the season.

Bizarre move.. Steve kean to get the sack before XMAS ill bet.. Its all about the £££ though and they are going to make Rhodes a very rich man – we will be okay there are replacements lined up and expect intense activity over next days!

  • BomBom says:

If its any consolation, I have heard that the reason he has finally relented aside from the fee is that you have a replacement lined up. Dont know who thats going to be tho. As someone else said, with Kean at the helm, no doubt he will have Rhodes playing wide left or even holding midfield in a month!

No but Rovers must be a hot favourite for promotion RoversNORTHEAST2013.
