Having been recalled from his loan spell out with Oxford United, Jack Payne has now headed to Blackburn Rovers for the second half of the 2017/18 season.
With speculation initially suggested he had been recalled from the Kassam Stadium to head back out on loan to the Championship given his impressive 33 appearances for the club – he scored seven times and created 12 assists – he heads to the League One promotion hopefuls and the loan will involve an extension should they reach the play offs at the end of the campaign.
The 23 year old could make his debut for the club this Saturday as they face Fleetwood Town.
