Jack Payne has been recalled by Huddersfield Town from his successful loan spell with Oxford United in League One.

Payne has been in sensational form for Oxford, netting 7 times and laying on 12 assists featuring largely as Oxford’s number 10 during his loan spell, which had originally been scheduled to run for the duration of the season.

Oxford currently sit in 10th place in League One and the loss of Payne will be a massive miss for them.

So is Jack Payne coming back to challenge for the number 10 spot at Huddersfield alongside new signing Alex Pritchard?

Rumour has it that Payne will spend the final months of the season out on-loan to a Championship side as Wagner looks to increase the level of playing experience for the 23 year old former Southend man.
