I’ve got to say I was pretty happy with the way things went against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup. We were 2-0 down after 25 minutes but we ended up winning 3-2. It was a fantastic fightback with great spirit.

‘I scored two, so as you can imagine I was well happy with that. In past seasons I’ve only ever managed two for the entire campaign. I’m at four now, so happy days?

‘The manager had really built up our confidence and he’s getting the very best out of us. All the boys are really enjoying working under him and from a personal point of view Andy Ritchie is the best manager I have ever played for. In everything – the way he approaches games, the way he talks to and prepares his players, everything. ‘
