NEIL LENNON has met with the Huddersfield Town board to discuss the current managerial vacancy but according to reports the former Celtic manager has since withdrawn his interest in the vacancy.

Lennon has topped most fans polls as their choice to succeed Mark Robins

The Terriers have confirmed that no offers have been made to any managerial candidates with Lennon the second manager rumoured to have been made an offer, following that news of Neil Warnock’s rejection of Town.

Warnock of course has taken the vacant job at Selhurt Park with Crystal Palace and that in itself could re-kindle Lennon’s interest in the Town job.

With the Transfer deadline looming on Monday it seems that Town will not have made an appointment with Mark Lillis currently in control of affairs, could he be set for an extended caretaker role?
