Summer signing Donal McDermott could win something as a Huddersfield Town player despite departing for Bournemouth in the January transfer window after only half a season with The Terriers.
Donal’s goal for Huddersfield Town against Northampton in the JPT has seen him enter the award entries for this seasons Johnstone’s Paint Trophy ‘Ultimate Finish’ award.
The 10 best strikes from a total of 137 have been shortlisted for this years award.
Huddersfield Town player Jordan Rhodes won last seasons award and Donal could make it two seasons in a row that Town have scooped the gong.
The player whose goal receives the most votes on www.johnstonespainttrophy.com will receive a beautiful reminder of his effort in the shape of a cut glass trophy, while one lucky fan who votes for the winning goal will receive a Playstation 3, the latest FIFA game and the chance to present the award to the winning player in person.
The shortlisted strikes are:
Karl Hawley: NOTTS COUNTY v Chesterfield
Michael Flynn: Sheffield United v BRADFORD
Paul Caddis: Southend v SWINDON
Luke Daley: Exeter v PLYMOUTH
Donal McDermott: Northampton Town v HUDDERSFIELD TOWN
Shaun MacDonald: BOURNEMOUTH v Hereford
Darryl Duffy: Wycombe v CHELTENHAM
Daniel Nardiello: EXETER v Swindon
Oliver Risser: SWINDON v AFC Wimbledon
Adam McGurk: Chesterfield v TRANMERE
Voting for the Ultimate Finish of the season award concludes on 30th April 2012.
