Jon Parkin’s loan spell at Huddersfield Town has now ended and the striker has returned to Championship promotion chasers Cardiff City.

The 30-year-old big man was signed by Town as cover for Alan Lee in November, after the Irishman picked up a 3 game ban.

Parkin started in the Live TV game on Sky against current league one leaders Charlton Athletic in a 2-0 defeat that saw the unbeaten run come to an end.

Parkin also started in the home loss against Bournemouth and made his final Town appearance as a substitute in the dramatic 4-4 game against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

He did appear on the Town sub’s bench a few times but remained an un-used substitute during the remainder of his two month loan spell.

Personally he leaves here not having achieved anything in my eyes, for a signing that really could have added that extra dimension for us up-front.

We wish Jon the best in all his future endeavors.
