Huddersfield have today sacked Stan Ternent, Ronnie Jepson and the backroom team they installed over the summer!

Fans have been calling for this radical move over recent weeks.

it is thought Chairman elect Dean Hoyle is behind the dismissals, Andrew Watson is also rumoured to have left his post.

This paves the way for Aidy Boothroyd to be taking over!!

totally agree with 550 ref same can be said about Deano. Some people will think the same. Andrew watson did a fantastic job for the club (for which he was VERY well paid BTW) and yes, Dean Hoyle may not have had many successful years of running a football club. Yes, he has a lot of mony and he is a town fan but in Card factory he has built a hugely successful empire in what are very difficult trading conditions so he knows how to run a business, of which a successful football club is. I am sure we will come out of this better and make Town a better team and club and whoever does come in will know what they need to do to move forward. Don’t forget he has business contacts and we may need these for funding and backing as the club moves onwards and upwards. UP THE TERRERS!!!!!!!

Yes he has done well in the business world, however the football world is different, there can be some likeness, I’m sure Dean can do well, just in my opinion he could have done with someone else on the board to just help out with things. Andrew would have been ideal tbh with his knowledge, for like another year or so, it’s to my knowledge that Dean actually wanted to keep Andrew for that reason.
however what’s done is done, lets hope it’s the right way forward, I for one want to see Town get up these leagues!

what happened apparently was that they had a meeting yesterday and the board (inc andrew watson) told stan they were not happy with the teams progress and he had until xmas to turn it round. Stan being Stan said he would rather leave now than be given an ultimatum and dean and ken said OK so be it but AW then said they were bein hasty and asked them all to calm down. Stan was then set on leaving so thats how it panned out.

Point taken Pharmer and we got a million quid for stead, but we dont produce enough championship standard players which is what stead is at best, to then get a million back on to pay for academy! we may aswell put money stright into the first team!.Adi Boothroyd is as good as we can ask for right now or billy davies maybe…is he still unemployed.

I personally think they have been a bit hasty with the sudden turn around, Dean never wanted Stan in as manager, and doesn’t like being disagreed with.
I guess personality clashes ended what was our club set up and now can only hope for a good manager to come in give confidence to the team and win the fans over.
many people are already wanting Aidy in, if we don’t get him do you think the same thing will happen where the fans wanted someone else…just a thought

You would all be surprised about some of the names in the frame as far as the board are concerned. Our academy is regarded as one of the best in the country and we should all be very proud of it. Have you forgotten that in 2003 when we almost went bust, the academy was all jacko had and from there we rebuilt the team. Read the history books to refresh your (very short and selective) memory jj83. BTW, ou say steadie is a champs player at best…..sure he has had 3 tough seasons but he is coming back now and when he went to BRFC he kept them in the prem almost single handedly.

    JACKO JACKO JACKO
LOL………ANLY KIDDING BUT I FOR 1 WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT……

  • Huddersfield550 says:

well lets just hope that whoever is in the frame comes in and does a good job ey? =]
btw I agree with Pharmer’s ref to our academy, it is one of the best, and Huddersfield is a very highly regarded team which we should all be happy about and to re-instate it, very proud of.
Now we have some money lets push on and make it work.
    Up the Town!

please take part in my poll for who the new manager is (in forums).

  • pharmer says:

one very simple reason why he’s gone is this:-

    League Table View Full Table

    Team P W D L GD Pts
    13. Bristol Rovers 15 5 5 5 5 20
    14. Brighton 15 4 7 4 0 19
    15. Northampton 14 4 5 5 0 17
    16. Huddersfield 15 4 5 6 -6 17
    17. Swindon 14 4 4 6 -4 16
    18. Colchester 14 4 3 7 -2 15
    19. Yeovil 14 3 6 5 -8 15

We should not be in the same league as some of these eams let alone next to them…….
