Huddersfield Town’s much depleted squad just got smaller.

Andy Taylor has been recalled by Blackburn Rovers. The left-back, has been recalled by Mark Hughes after a recent spate of injuries at the Premiership outfit.

Taylor made seven starts and one subs appearance for Town picking up three yellow cards in the process.
After a slow start, he got into his stride and was starting to make a decent contribution.

Town’s caretaker boss, Gerry Murphy said: ‘It’s a shame that he has been recalled. We were very pleased with his contribution while he was here and we are very sorry to see him go.

‘However, when one door closes in football, another opens and it now gives Joe Skarz a chance for a run in the side.’

Vital view – Its a shame we didn’t put a similar clause in Chris Brandon’s loan deal to Blackpool. The squad is looking decidedly threadbare
