Aidy Boothroyd is way too good for Huddersfield as is Steve Cotterill who I hope replaces AB at Watford instead of joining Huddersfield to face a thouroughly pompous set of Terriers fans who seem hell bent on staying in League 1 by getting rid of a manager who calls a spade a spade! Getting shut of a proven manager at your level after just 14 games or so, says it all! You are losers!

There’s more to it than meets the eye turfmanphil, read our chairmans comments and you might get a clearer idea. He says he does believe Stan would have got us promotion if not this season then the next, and he also says that his 18 games in charge are not long enough. The reason they parted ways is because the manager and board had fundamental differences as to the way forward for the club. I don’t know for sure but I believe that Ternant thought the idea of the academy was crap and hasn’t even seen any of the academy lads play, whereas although we gave Stan a few quid, essentially we don’t have a lot of money, and we must rely on the academy for players which is widely regarded as one of the best in the country.
