Simon Grayson still believes that anything is possible as he sets his sights firmly on maximum points in the feint hope of catching second place in league one.

Huddersfield head to Bournemouth on the back of a home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, a result many fans feel has set our destination to be the play-offs again.

However Grayson belives his side have the character to bounce back and that ‘anything is still possible’

Grayson spoke exclusively to htafc.com before the team made for their departure to Bournemouth today:-

‘There will still be twists and turns before the end; who knows where teams will finish come the end of the season,

‘The players have responded from defeats before – as they did against Leyton Orient following the Carlisle defeat. There is no reason why we can’t go to Bournemouth and do that; we have got a squad capable of winning football matches. It is going to be a quick turnaround where recovery is the key and we may try and freshen up the squad by bringing in a couple of players. We have got a decent enough squad to change it around a bit – we will be positive in our approach.

‘The players are disappointed after the Sheffield Wednesday defeat and they will have to inspire themselves, but it is also up to the coaches and the manager to make them believe that they are good players who are capable of getting results. As a manager, the psychology of the players is a very important part of their armoury and we will be very positive with them to make them believe that they are good enough.’

‘I think Bournemouth are a team that we can go and beat. They are a different to the team to the one that we beat in the Play-Offs last year and will go there and try and respond quickly. It will be a tough game, but the players will be positive and aiming to win the game.’

It’s all well and good responding to defeats, it’s the draws and dropped points we must address, one thing that is correct is that Bournemouth are a much different proposition to last season.

Perhaps a blessing however they do still like to play football and will be going all out to hurt Town’s promotion push.

It is worth noting that Donal McDermott is unavailable for Bournemouth under the terms of his transfer from Huddersfield Town earlier this season.

Which has got me wondering… just what has happened to Anton Robinson?!
