Huddersfield’s Championship season continued with a win against Birmingham at St Andrew’s on Saturday.

Town secured this first win under new Head Coach David Wagner with a two-nil victory.

The game was barely underway when Joe Lolley (1) finished a Sean Scannell cross with just 31-seconds on the clock to give Huddersfield the lead.

Any doubts about Town needing to ‘hold on’ to this lead were removed when Scannell was again the provider, this time to Nahki Wells (81) in the final 10-minutes to secure a first Huddersfield win in six-matches.

The other results this weekend were as follows:-

Saturday 5th December 2015
Birmingham 0-2 Huddersfield
Bolton 2-3 Cardiff
Brentford 2-0 MK Dons
Brighton 3-2 Charlton
Bristol City 0-2 Blackburn
Burnley 0-2 Preston
Leeds 2-1 Hull
Nottm Forest 3-0 Fulham
Rotherham 1-2 Wolves

Sunday 6th December 2015
Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Derby

Looking at these results the stand out ones have to be the wins for Brighton and Preston.

The Brighton win, which sees them retain the lead in the Championship, over Charlton wasn’t a surprise but with the Seagulls two-nil down in the second half on that note it was! This fightback saw them score twice in the final five-minutes to complete the comeback to win three-two at the Amex Stadium.

Burnley’s unbeaten run was ended by Lancashire rivals Preston with the Lilywhites, causing what must be viewed as a surprise win, earning the points against the Clarets with them going away from Turf Moor with a two-nil win.
