Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci has emerged as a January Transfer target for Huddersfield Town but the interest could be over as quickly as it began.

The Turkish striker has had a £3 Million pound price tag slapped on his head and with that potential suitors could go scrambling.

Charlton, Huddersfield and Norwich all had scouts at the weekend’s Tayside derby which United ran out 6-2 winners at Tannadice over rivals Dundee.

Celtic are also rumoured to be in the hunt for Ciftci and want to take Stuart Armstrong as part of a deal but have been quoted £6 Million for the pair.

It could be just paper talk and Town perhaps were casting more wishful eye’s over Gary Mackay-Steven; who netted two goals, and has long been linked with Huddersfield.

I imagine that his price will also be £3 Million and so Town will perhaps look elsewhere with that kind of price way out of our current financial reach.
