Andy Ritchie has intimated a few player changes are about to happen at the Galpharm Stadium.

Ritchie said: ‘We want to have players here who are comfortable playing in a variety of systems.

‘Some players will leave in the summer because we have to make room in the budget to bring in certain players we want.’

He was assured by the board that funds will be made available for team strengthening when appointed as Peter Jackson’s successor.

However it seems that Michael Collins will play a significant part in a Ritchie led Huddersfield future side.

Ritchie said

‘Hopefully he can end the season on a high note (against Orient)
I came to watch Town a few times when I was between jobs, and Don Givens (the Republic of Ireland under-21 coach) seemed to be here every time.

‘Since my appointment, I’ve started to understand why he was watching Michael, and I’m sure if he continues to progress as he has done this season, he will get another chance.

‘He has the potential to be a very, very good player and while there is still work to do, especially in terms of physique, I think we’ve got a great prospect.’
