Daniel Carr is on his way back to Huddersfield Town after his loan spell at Fleetwood Town came to an end.

The young striker has been on loan to Fleetwood since November and has 5 appearances and just the one goal to his name during his spell at Highbury.

Huddersfield have recruited well in this January transfer window and with a now huge pool of strikers to choose from Carr could well find himself back out on loan.

Fellow young professionals Jordan Sinnott, Jimmy Spencer, Matt Crooks & Chris Atkinson could also all be available for loan, should the right club’s approach us for their temporary services and of course for the players development.

I am sure the club would have expected Fleetwood to play Carr more than just the 5 times in 3 months, although the experience of being involved in every match day, as he was primarily a substitute will have done the young summer signing from Dulwich Hamlet some good.

Players who could be leaving permanently in this window, Jon Stead, Keith Southern & Anton Robinson have yet to receive any substantial interest in the trio.

Sheffield United are sniffing around Stead, and Preston are rumoured to be interested in Southern although one would expect interest to hot up as the deadline draws close.
