Huddersfield Town have handed Philip Billing a new long term deal taking the 6ft 5 Danish teenager through to 2020.
Billing has broken through into the first team this season and earned rave reviews from Huddersfield fans and pundits alike.
His original deal was due to run until 2017, with Town having the option of a further year, so the new deal effectively ties Billing to the club for an additional two years.

Head Coach David Wagner commented on the clubs official site, htafc.com;-
“I am very happy that Phil has signed a new contract with Huddersfield.
“As I have said many times before, keeping our good players here is just as important as looking for new talent to bring in and this adds to new contracts for Sean Scannell, Joe Lolley, Harry Bunn and Joe Murphy.
‘Philip is a talent and he is a good character as well. We are proud he is our player. He is progressing very well, which is no surprise as he is football intelligent.
“He has taken his opportunity in the team recently, showing he can bring his performance to the pitch.
“However, we have a lot more work to do with him. We still have a lot of work to do to make him the player I expect him to be.”
So how pleased are you that this bright Danish prospect has been signed long term?
Do you expect him to see out this contract or as he develops will he become potentially the next big money mover, ala Jordan Rhodes & Jacob Butterfield?
