Barnsley’s Andy Yiadom has been on the radar of Huddersfield Town for some time in this transfer window and that link has resurfaced again.

It appeared Huddersfield’s interest had cooled int he right back with the Terriers looking at Dimitri Cavare who arrived on trial from French side Rennes, and even made the Terriers Austria training camp trip.

Cavare however left that camp early with the rumour being he was off for a medical ahead of signing, that appears not to have been the case with the Terriers interest said to now be ended and instead attention turned back to Yiadom, who with just 12 months left on his Barnsley contract, and keen on making a move himself to the Premier League.

According to Ghana Soccer Net manager David Wagner has confirmed the Terriers interest in Yiadom, with the source claiming that Yiadom was undergoing a medical at Huddersfield on Thursday.

Should the move materialise Yiadom would follow a very busy transfer window for The Terriers with the club recruiting 9 new players already, adding depth to the squad and providing Wagner with 2 options at least in every position on the pitch.

Steve Mounie, Laurent Depoitre, Mathias Jorgensen, Jonas Lossl, Aaron Mooy, Tom Ince, Kasey Palmer, Danny Williams, Scott Malone

No doubt Yiadom would join as back up for the newly appointed club captain Tommy Smith, the right-back one of Wagner’s most trusted squad members and easily the most improved player under Wagner to date.

What do you think of the proposed arrival of Yiadom ?

Good move ?
