Flynn is claiming it, but will wait for official confirmation, Butlers header was deflected off a few bodies, so we will see!

  • Huddersfield550 says:

says on the website it’s Butlers still, but I’d be happy to give it Flynn any day. strange how he’s still 4th top scorer? when he hasn’t played for half a season? 😛

  • Impact says:

same witht he 3rd top scorer. who’s that? oh yeah, craney.

  • Huddersfield550 says:

oh yeah, how many more games?
how many more goals?….1 in the league…one that Flynn should have had today ey?…

  • Impact says:

craney has started 6 more times than flynn now. and dont go on aboutt he 11 sub apps cos most of them have been on 80mins. for me, collins should be on the bench. he’s just nenver int he game, especially second half, and makes goodwin do twice as much work. sure he gets goals, but in my view playing him gives away goals, and yellow cards and fks from other people, as well.

  • Huddersfield550 says:

alright, touchy touchy calm down 🙂
truth is he’s had more chances to impress because he has been on the bench, but didn’t even do anything when he came on, I’m sure you can see how well Flynn did when he came on for Craney, it’s just a fact that Flynns better, thats why he went up with blackpool in a winning side, and Craney came from Accrington….nuff said?

  • Impact says:

liam lawrence is playing int he premier league for stoke now. 5 years ago he played in a losing mansfield side. its not where you come from that makes a difference. in fact you may say why would a promotion winning side let him go? havent seen flynn in months and i didnt go to mk dons so no i didnt.

  • Huddersfield550 says:

I feel like we’re going in circles here, lets agree to disagree.
maybe they let him go because he was good enough to help them get promoted but not to stay in the championship , and that would be good enough for me

  • White Rabbit says:

I reckon Impact was close to the truth when he said Collins didn’t do enough, BUT I think he’s criticising the effect rather than the cause. If you play two attacking wingers, as Town have done recently, it places a hell of a lot of defensive responsibility on the two central midfielders. It isn’t Collins’ fault that he isn’t that sort of player. To me if you’re playing two out-and-out wingers, you need two hard-working midfielders (Goodwin and Worthington?); the alternative is to play a more midfield type (like Flynn) on one wing and say put Pilks up front. Having said that Clark, Faz and McDermott have a bit more experience in League football than I have so what do I know?

  • Impact says:

if we had 3 central mids, then i wouldnt have a problem with him. but he puts FAR too much pressure on goodwin. thats why i want craney to play with goodwin (that’ll get moans but w/e) as he gets stuck in as well as going forward. will take pressure off goodwin (less yellow cards?) but also means he still has the same safety that collins does.
