The football association have upheld the referees decision to dismiss Keith Southern and he will miss the next three matches.

Southern was shown a straight red card against Charlton for a fairly innocuous looking challenge and Town had been confident that the ban would be overturned.

As a result, the midfielder will now serve a three match suspension – ruling him out of Tuesday night’s game at Middlesbrough,Saturday’s home derby against Leeds United and the home clash with Bolton Wanderers on 8 December.
