Speaking to the BBC’s cameras a short time after match day referee Kevin Friend blew the final whistle, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino explained that he wasn’t paying too much attention to their longest unbeaten run in 51 years.
‘We don’t think too much about the past. Of course, that is a very good stat but for me football is tomorrow – it’s not yesterday.’
He added.
‘I think everyone is excited about the Juventus game. It’s a huge game and everyone is waiting for it.’
Huddersfield head coach David Wagner in his comparative interview explained.
‘We got beaten by quality – it’s a fair result. If you want to steal something against opponents like this then a lot of things have to go in your favour. Today, Tottenham were absolutely on it. We have shown we are ready for this fight which is in front of us.’
