Midfield trio Tommy Miller, Oscar Gobern and Damien Johnson are set for some much needed match practice time following respective injuries.

Tommy Miller has missed 13 games to-date after having an operation to cure a Hernia problem. It is expected that he will not feature at Preston which will be his 14th on the sidelines.

Hamstring injuries to Oscar Gobern and Damien Johnson mean they have also been missing for the last 9 and 7 matches respectively.

All three have returned to training with Town but are now well short of the match sharpness required.

As Town enter the final four games of the regular season, it will be crucial to get these players back fit and ready to step into the side if required.

Gary Naysmith has also boosted the Grayson, with the news he is making a good recovery from his knee injury, the left-back has also missed seven matches since suffering the injury.

Newly appointed development coach , Steve Eyre, will be charged with overseeing the development match, and Grayson is trying to fix up a suitable opponent.

Lee Novak is the other man on the treatment table, but it is expected that he will re-join the first team immediately.
