Huddersfield Town forward Daniel Carr has had his loan spell with Fleetwood Town extended until the end of January.

The 20-year old striker, who joined the Terriers in the summer, was due to return to the club this week but instead has seen the loan extended until January 26th 2014

Carr has made 3 appearances so far for Fleetwood, with two of those coming as a substitute.

Mark Robins told Huddersfield’s official website:-

‘We still have a good number of available options in attack, so extending Daniel’s loan suits both clubs and the player,’

‘It’s good that Fleetwood have been impressed by him and want to keep him at their club for the busy festive period, but the next challenge for Daniel now is to force his way into Graham Alexander’s starting XI.

‘It is important for Daniel’s development that he gets more experience of senior football in a team near the top of a tough division.’
