With the Dutchman happy with how things have gone since his arrival at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Rajiv van La Parra initially arrived on loan last season in a deal from Wolves that will become a permanent switch to Huddersfield this summer with him telling the Official Website things couldn’t have gone better so far with him ‘really happy’ with his choice of clubs.

‘It`s gone really well! I like the game we play and I`ve had a really good time on the pitch.
“I`m really happy with my choice to play for Huddersfield. Hopefully I can have a really good season for myself and the team.’

He went on to praise the role boss David Wagner has played with the support on offer from the Town fans, with them remaining ‘behind you’ no matter what, giving extra motivation to the players (it certainly is him) next season.

The 24-year-old is also looking to ‘have a really good time’ and will be looking to ‘enjoy his performances for Huddersfield.’

Looking back at his home debut in a two-two draw with Hull he added.

‘It was a really good game for myself and I think for the team as well. I was really happy with my performance, because I wanted to show the fans what I`m capable of. It`s important they enjoy what they see and I was happy with that; it took a lot of pressure off my shoulders.’

Pre-season will kick in on 24th June with him already braced for a ‘really hard’ time but it’ll also be an ‘important’ time too with the benefits from this being seen as the season unfolds both from a personal point of view and what (hopefully) will be displayed on the pitch too.

The winger finished by expressing his excitement ahead of the 2016/17 season, one that can’t arrive soon enough for him with it one that’ll also see us ‘make things happen.’

‘I`m really excited; for me, the season cannot begin early enough! I`m looking forward to it. Last season, I saw what we are capable of and how we can play. At times we did really well and I was really impressed. I think that, combined with some new players, means we can make things happen next season. We have the belief that we can and I think the fans believe it too, which is important. That will help us to reach a higher level on the pitch.’
