HULL CITY are said to be lining up a £12 Million pound offer for Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes.
Huddersfield’s interest in any potential deal is because of a 20% sell on clause that was part of the £8 Million pound deal that took the Scottish striker to Blackburn two years ago.
Rhodes who plundered 87 goals for Huddersfield after joining from Ipswich in 2009 for a reported 400k has already scored 53 times for Blackburn in just two seasons and a move to Hull would give him the opportunity to show he can cut it in the Premier League.
A potential stumbling block could be that Rhodes only recently signed a new 5 year contract with Blackburn, but could the Lancashire side be prepared to cash in, and Rhodes himself must be keen to play in the Premier league, with many surprised he hasn’t already jumped ship.
If a move did materialise it would obviously offer Huddersfield some additional scope in the transfer market as the club look to build on the current squad and with a new managers arrival imminent we will have to wait and see if and when a deal develops.
