According to the Birmingham Mail, Huddersfield hope to complete a permanent deal for on-loan Chelsea forward Izzy Brown. However, overcoming Sheffield Wednesday (and Reading) could determine if the ex-West Brom man stays?

Having cut short a loan deal at struggling Rotherham, Brown came to the John Smith’s Stadium in January. With the help of the England U20 international Huddersfield secured a play-off spot but his helping Town into the Premier League could prove the deciding factor as far as a Terriers future is concerned.

Brown, 20, who had the best of the chances at the John Smith’s on Sunday, will be involved in this evening’s second leg at Hillsborough. Should Huddersfield move to within 90 minutes of Premier League football it’s reported a £3m deal could be on.

Coming through the West Brom academy, Brown made his Albion debut in 2013, aged 16, before leaving for the club he supported as a kid, Chelsea – he’s yet to make his first team debut at Stamford Bridge.
