Huddersfield Town could request a replay of their Yorkshire Derby with Sheffield Wednesday, after Jeremy Helan was booked twice, but not sent off.

The game finished 0-0 but referee Mick Russell’s failure to produce the red card for Wednesday’s Jeremy Helan, who is on loan from Manchester City, on 26 minutes could give rise to a claim for a replay.

Former football league referee Tony Leake believes that a replay shouldn’t be out of the question, whilst Terriers manager Simon Grayson was left ‘staggered’ by the blatant mistake.

Both assistants also failed to spot the error.
