Huddersfield Town target Chris Wood is on the verge of joining Championship rivals Leicester City.

The West Brom striker, currently on loan at Millwall, has impressed many watching suitors this season, with Leicester set to win the race for his signature.

It is rumoured the 21-year-old striker will cost the Foxes around £1.3 million pounds.

Town of course extended the loan of Leicester striker Jermaine Beckford for the rest of the season, and it may be part of this deal that Town have stepped away from Wood.

Current Town loanee Simon Church, is rumoured to be interesting Millwall as they look for a replacement for Wood.

Church is out of contract at the end of the season and his loan spell at Town is coming to an end, where he has largely been disappointing.

  • Wood was always going to be out of our bracket price wise i feel, and Church is welcome to go to Millwall, never seen such an ineffective loan player for a long time
