CLUB CAPTAIN Peter Clarke is pressing for a recall to the heart of Huddersfield Town’s defence after undergoing successful hernia surgery in January.

He could face a tough task with Sean Morrison and Jamie McCombe having struck up a good partnership, but during that spell they also conceded 7 goals in four matches.

Those included letting slip a three & a two goal lead and manager Simon Grayson may be tempted to try something different.

Clarke has previously played under Grayson at Blackpool and should the manager come calling he will know exactly what he will be getting from the committed skipper.

Tommy Miller is still seven to ten days away from a full return following his hernia surgery, having not recovered as quickly as first expected.

  • I think its more likely he may be on the bench – but if he has proved he is 110% fit then Grayson may be tempted to put him straight in
